Ambassador Responsibilities

CONNECT. CARE. BRIDGE.

What You’ll Do as a Come Close Ambassador

Your role isn’t to have all the answers or fix anyone’s problems. You’re here to help women feel welcomed, remembered, and reminded that they don’t have to navigate college alone.

CONNECT

  • Help women feel comfortable from the moment they encounter Come Close.
  • Invite women on your campus to Come Close meetups and experiences.
  • Welcome new faces—especially the woman who comes alone.
  • Help create a fun, relaxed atmosphere where women can exhale and be themselves.
  • Encourage connection without forcing participation.
  • No pressure. Always.

CARE

  • Help us make Intentional Care something women actually experience.
  • Check in with women and help them stay connected between meetups.
  • Celebrate wins, encourage women through challenging seasons, and help create moments that make people feel remembered.
  • Notice when someone may need a little extra encouragement or support.
  • Help make sure women feel like more than just another name on an attendance list.
  • You are not expected to counsel, diagnose, or fix anyone. Sometimes caring means simply listening.

BRIDGE

  • Help women discover people, opportunities, and resources that can support them.
  • Share helpful campus and Come Close resources.
  • Help connect women to appropriate campus services when they need support beyond our role.
  • Introduce Come Close to student organizations, campus departments, and other potential partners
  • Help women find opportunities to connect, grow, and get involved.

HELP US GROW—WITHOUT LOSING WHO WE ARE

You’ll also help spread the word about Come Close by:

  • Sharing Come Close content and upcoming experiences with your campus network.
  • Helping promote and support meetups on or near your campus.
  • Giving us honest feedback about what college women are experiencing and need.
  • Helping identify other women who would be great additions to the Come Close community and future ambassador teams.
  • You don’t need thousands of followers.
  • You don’t need to know everybody on campus.
  • You don’t need to have your life completely figured out.
  • We’re looking for women who care about people, notice others, show up consistently, and want to help make college feel a little less lonely.

Before You Apply

We want Come Close to add to your college experience—not overwhelm it.
