ABOUT

Our Why

Come Close Exists Because College Women Are Carrying a Lot College women told us they are managing — but stressed.
Trying — but tired.

Balancing school, work, relationships, expectations, and pressure to “have it all together.”

Many shared that they’re still figuring out where they feel truly supported.

Come Close was created in response to that reality.

We exist to offer something many students said they’re missing:
a safe, welcoming space to breathe, talk honestly, and feel less alone.

Who We Are

A Community Rooted in Real Conversation

Come Close is a women-centered community designed for college students seeking connection, growth, and relief from the pressure to be perfect.

We create intentional spaces — especially through small-group, candid conversations — where women can speak openly about stress, identity, purpose, leadership, and life during college.

This is not a space that asks you to have answers.
It’s a space that allows you to show up as you are.

What We Believe

Our Values Are Simple — and Intentional

We believe:

  • You don’t have to have everything figured out to belong

  • Growth happens best in community, not isolation

  • Honest conversation is powerful

  • Leadership can be developed without pressure or perfection

  • Support should feel human, not transactional

Come Close is grounded in empathy, respect, and the understanding that college is a formative — and often overwhelming — season.

What We Offer

Spaces Designed With Students in Mind

Our work centers around what college women told us they want and need:

Candid Conversations
Small, welcoming discussion spaces focused on real-life topics — stress, confidence, identity, purpose, and navigating college without comparison or judgment.

Leadership & Personal Growth
Opportunities to build confidence and self-awareness through conversation, reflection, and shared experience — not performance or hustle culture.

Professional Resources (Growing)
Supportive tools and guidance that help students prepare for the future without making them feel behind or inadequate.

A mentorship program is part of our long-term vision, but our current focus is building trust, connection, and community first.

Who This Is For

This Space Is for You If…

  • You’re a college woman feeling overwhelmed but pushing through

  • You want a space where honesty is welcomed

  • You’re craving community without pressure

  • You want to grow — personally, emotionally, and professionally — at your own pace

  • You don’t need to perform here.

  • You just need to show up.

Our Invitation

You Don’t Have to Navigate College Alone

Come Close is more than an initiative — it’s an invitation to step into community, conversation, and growth in a way that feels safe and authentic. We’re building this space together, one conversation at a time.

You are welcome here.

COME CLOSE

Come Close was created out of lived experience — navigating college, leadership, and personal growth while feeling pressure to have everything figured out.

After listening to college women share how overwhelmed, tired, and unsupported they often feel, it became clear that what was missing wasn’t more advice — it was more space.

Space to talk honestly.

Space to breathe.

Space to grow without judgment.

Come Close exists to hold that space and to continue building alongside the women it serves. - Joi
